This runner is made in India using traditional block-printing techniques, a time-consuming artisanal process that makes each piece unique, exuding even the smallest imperfections.
The iconic Dam Dam design returns in a new colorway featuring two contrasting backgrounds, a warm gold and a vibrant lilac, separated by a row of oversized flowers. This motif deconstructs the sumptuousness of Renaissance fabrics with a minimalist, contemporary reinterpretation and the iconic blend of geometric and plant elements. The pattern was handcrafted using block printing and then reworked in Italy using more modern techniques.
For this collection, Lisa Corti wanted to experiment with a new and exciting printing technique. This new technology is truly unique, as the design is created from a hand-cut prototype and then block-printed by master artisans in India. It is then reproduced on pure cotton in Italy, using a contemporary yet artisanal process that perfectly blends tradition and innovation, a cornerstone of Lisa Corti's research.
